EARLY YEARS:
BEFORE THERE WAS SQUARE CIRCLE, THERE WAS NARRATOR

THE EASTOVER HERALD'S "CAMPUS ARTISTS TO WATCH," MAY 2003.

The very earliest iteration of Square Circle was in fact not Square Circle at all; it was Narrator, the college band formed by Nick Crandall, Jacob Overman, and classmate Connor Krause in early 2003 - a semester before Spencer Savard and Bill Bright would begin their fateful freshman year. The band has never publicly commented on Krause's departure, though Krause notably attempted a lawsuit in 2008 for rights to the Origins EP.  He was unsuccessful.
